Are you an ambitious and inspirational school leader ready to take the next step in your leadership career?

Aspire Schools Trust is seeking an exceptional Head of School to lead the day-to-day operational and educational leadership of Westgate Academy, working closely with the Executive Headteacher and Trust leadership team to deliver outstanding outcomes for pupils.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated leader with a strong track record of improving teaching and learning, developing staff, and creating a culture where all children can thrive. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the academy while contributing to the wider success of Aspire Schools Trust.

About the Role

As Head of School, you will:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for Westgate Academy.
  • Drive high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across the school.
  • Promote excellence, inclusion and high expectations for all pupils.
  • Lead and develop staff through coaching, performance management and professional development.
  • Oversee safeguarding as the school's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
  • Lead school improvement initiatives and use data effectively to secure excellent outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with Trust leaders and colleagues across Aspire Schools Trust.

About You

We are looking for a leader who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has significant leadership experience at senior level within a school.
  • Is an outstanding practitioner with a strong understanding of effective teaching and learning.
  • Has experience of school improvement, self-evaluation and staff development.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Can inspire, motivate and empower staff and pupils to achieve their very best.
  • Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion and improving life chances for every child.
