The posting

Foundations for Life

Are you a skilled, confident practitioner who makes learning irresistible for children? We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Cuxton.

Our school sits in a village setting beside 6 Acre Wood. We serve Nursery to Year 6 as one primary school, made up of our Infant and Junior academies. We hold the IQM Inclusive School Award, and our values of Enjoy, Aspire, Explore, Respect, Believe and Community shape everything we do.

The role

As an HLTA, you will work alongside teachers and take responsibility for agreed learning activities. You will:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging learning activities for whole classes, small groups and individual pupils
  • Cover classes during PPA time and teacher absence, so that learning stays consistent and continuous
  • Provide targeted support and interventions that help pupils become confident, independent learners
  • Monitor, assess, record and report on pupils' progress and development
  • Work with teachers and our SEND team to plan and deliver individual support for pupils with special educational needs, including those with social, emotional and mental health needs
  • Support positive behaviour and help keep the classroom a calm, focused and inclusive place to learn
  • Build positive, professional relationships with pupils, parents and carers

About you

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • Are passionate about education and committed to helping every child reach their full potential
  • Have experience of working with children across the primary curriculum, including pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE grade 4/C or above in English and maths, or equivalent)
  • Hold HLTA status or a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent), or are willing to work towards HLTA status
  • Are confident leading a class, and adapt your approach to meet children's individual needs
  • Are enthusiastic, well organised, self-motivated and trustworthy
  • Communicate well and maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
  • Are committed to developing your own practice

What we offer

  • Happy, motivated children who are keen to learn and grow
  • A dedicated, professional and supportive staff team
  • An ambitious leadership team committed to professional learning and staff wellbeing
  • Excellent resources and vibrant learning spaces, including our woodland setting and OPAL play provision
  • Training and career development across The Primary First Trust's 10 schools in Bexley, Gravesham and Medway
  • A paid staff wellbeing day each year [please confirm this applies to support staff]

Visits are warmly welcomed. To arrange one, please contact the school office.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
