Job Title: HLTA Academy: Bradshaw Primary School Salary: FTE - £30,024 - £33,699 – Actual Salary - £26,289.01 - 29,506.84 Grade: Grade 6 pt 15-22 (NJC 2026 Pay Award Scale TBC) Accountable to: Headteacher Start Date: Immediate Start Closing Date: Friday 2nd October 2026, 9am Contract Type: Permanent, 37 Hours per week, Term Time only plus 1 week.

We are seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HTLA) to work within our successful and nurturing school. HLTA’s will plan and deliver lessons across all years and use assessment to adapt teaching and learning effectively. Applicants must be highly motivated, creative and committed to the highest standards of pupil achievement and inclusion.

The post is holder will work across the primary year groups providing cover for all year group and will also work with individual/groups of children to support high-quality learning opportunities when required.

The role of this Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) is to provide PPA cover and absence cover (to whole classes of pupils when the class teacher is not present) across the school.

We are looking for someone who: • is passionate about inspiring the next generation to be life-long learners who are inquisitive about the world around them • has a positive and flexible approach to school life • has excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds • enjoys working with children and is devoted to building a nurturing and safe learning environment • is energetic, talented and ambitious and who can inspire, challenge, motivate and support both children and colleagues • has high expectations of learning behaviours for all pupils • can work collaboratively as well as independently to best support pupils and colleagues • can reflect on practice and embrace purposeful change
