Turn your industry expertise into life-changing opportunities for young people

At Lode Heath School, we are passionate about providing our students with an ambitious, engaging and inclusive education that prepares them for success in the wider world. A key part of this commitment is our purpose-built Hair and Beauty Salon, which provides students with the opportunity to develop practical skills, explore career pathways and gain recognised qualifications within this exciting and creative industry.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Instructor of Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy to lead our thriving provision and inspire students to achieve their very best. Whether you are an experienced educator or a talented industry professional looking to take your first step into teaching, this is a unique opportunity to make a genuine difference to young people's lives while sharing your passion and expertise.

Our fully equipped salon delivers the City & Guilds Level 2 Technical Award in Hair and Beauty Studies, enabling students to develop both practical and theoretical knowledge of the sector. Students explore the world of hair and beauty, industry developments, scientific principles behind products and treatments, and the creation of professional images for business use. Alongside this, they gain hands-on experience in a range of skills including shampooing, blow-drying, styling, plaiting, basic make-up application and nail techniques, whilst investigating beauty trends from Ancient Egypt through to the modern era.

At Lode Heath, collaboration, support and professional growth are at the heart of our culture. You will join a welcoming and dedicated team, with access to established schemes of learning, teaching resources and specialist support from colleagues across our Trust. We are committed to helping our staff thrive and will provide the guidance and development opportunities needed for you to succeed in the role.

The successful candidate will be a confident practitioner with high expectations, a passion for developing young people and a commitment to delivering engaging learning experiences. Most importantly, you will bring enthusiasm, creativity and a desire to inspire students to achieve more than they ever thought possible.

There’s an exceptional environment waiting for you outside of work too. One of the most prosperous towns in the Midlands, Solihull offers plenty of superb amenities from its thriving shopping centre through to lively bars and first-class restaurants. Close to Birmingham Airport, the NEC and the new Resorts World development, it also has excellent transport links to Birmingham city centre and beyond.

Lode Heath School is a member of the Arden Multi-Academy Trust where we are committed in working together to help and enrich the experiences of all within the AMAT family; we have a clear vision to generate self-belief, self-worth, esteem and confidence in our young people who can then display the ambition and aspiration in achieving high educational outcomes.

An informal visit to the school is a great way to discover Lode Heath for yourself. Just contact Mrs Jones at: [email protected] to arrange a date.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
