Intervention Mentor

Stephenson Academy provides education for students both male and female aged between 9 and 16 years. We are the local SEN provision for students with social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). We pride ourselves on delivering a high quality curriculum, truly individualised to meet the needs of our students, ensuring successful outcomes for all. We have a cohort of staff who are from all walks of life which has created a truly dynamic and diverse team.

  • A mentor with the ability to be creative and use imaginative flair to engage our young people, helping them to be more resilient and access education more effectively
  • A person skilled in building relationships with everyone, no-matter who they are and what their barriers to learning might be
  • An understanding individual who can put themselves in other’s shoes but also communicate other perspectives, to enhance our students’ understanding of the world
  • A team player, who can work well with staff and students alike and can communicate at the young person’s level in a calm and professional way
  • There are opportunities to develop your own career path with exciting challenges within our ARA’s (areas of additional responsibility)
