Kitchen Assistant Permanent

Part-time 12.5 hours per week over 38 weeks per year

11:30am - 2:00pm, Monday to Friday Salary: Grade 1, Point 3 £25,615 Annually (FTE)

We are excited to welcome a new or experienced kitchen assistant to our hard-working and motivated staff team. This is an exciting time for our school as we welcome our new headteacher and look ahead to a time of development and improvement.

The Governors are looking for a committed kitchen assistant who:

  • Is highly motivated and self-driven with an ambition for excellence.
  • Will fully engage with professional development opportunities.
  • Has experience and success in working in a primary school context or within a kitchen environment.
  • Will engage fully with our supportive community.

We would like to work with someone who:

  • Will carry out kitchen work in a pleasant and professional manner, to the required standard, as directed by the Head Cook.
  • Is committed to the vision and ethos of our strong Catholic Primary School.
  • Is a team player who has high expectations for all children.

The Governors of St Patrick’s Primary School are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The applicants will undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers. The role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. The role is engaged in regulated activity and will therefore require a children’s barred list check. Shortlisted applicants will be required to complete a self disclosure.
