The posting

King’s Academy Oakwood is seeking to appoint a passionate, dynamic and innovative Key Stage 1 Class Teacher to join our ambitious and growing academy community.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a thriving Key Stage 1 team within a forward-thinking school, where curiosity, creativity and high-quality learning are at the heart of what we do. You will play a vital role in building on the foundations of the Early Years and supporting children as they navigate Key Stage 1, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can flourish.

At King’s Academy Oakwood, we believe Key Stage 1 is a crucial part of our curriculum and our wider vision of providing opportunity and success on a global stage. We recognise that children learn best through active exploration, practical experiences, purposeful interaction and high-quality, continuous provision. Our engaging learning environments and ambitious curriculum support children in developing the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to become happy, resilient and successful learners.

Our Key Stage 1 provision is characterised by:

  • A strong commitment to high-quality primary practice and continuous professional development.
  • A collaborative and supportive team culture, where ideas, expertise and best practice are shared.
  • A reflective approach to teaching and learning, with a focus on continual improvement and child development.
  • A clear understanding of the importance of ambitious curriculum design and high-quality provision.
  • A genuine commitment to staff wellbeing and professional trust.

As part of working with colleagues at King’s Academy Binfield, our all-through academy, you will benefit from working alongside a unique educational environment spanning Nursery to Post-16, offering opportunities to understand and contribute to the full educational journey of our pupils. Our growing academy provides exciting opportunities for professional development and career progression.

We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner who can inspire and nurture young children to achieve their very best. The successful candidate will:

  • Have a passion for Key Stage 1 education and a commitment to providing exceptional learning experiences for all children.
  • Demonstrate the ability to engage, challenge and support all learners through a balance of continuous provision, practical tasks and structured learning.
  • Create a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes children's independence, confidence and wellbeing.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues to support every child's development and success.
  • Thrive as part of a collaborative team and contribute to the wider life of the academy.
  • Be reflective, ambitious and committed to their own professional development.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who embody our core values of Honesty, Faith and Courage — approaching their work with integrity, optimism and a determination to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children.

King’s Academy Oakwood is a vibrant, inclusive and ambitious school, where staff are supported, valued and empowered to grow. Collaboration, professional respect and shared purpose underpin everything we do, ensuring that both pupils and staff can flourish.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
