  • Deliver professional development and training that strengthens teaching and learning across the academy.
  • Act as an instructional coach, providing guidance and support to colleagues to improve classroom practice.
  • Use assessment and performance data to identify priorities and drive improvements in scholar outcomes.
  • Contribute to quality assurance activities, including lesson visits, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Work collaboratively with leaders to implement improvement strategies aligned with academy priorities.
  • Build effective partnerships with colleagues, families and external organisations to enhance opportunities for scholars.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status and a degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
  • A highly effective classroom practitioner with a proven record of success at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong subject expertise with a passion for mathematics and curriculum development.
  • The ability to inspire, coach and develop colleagues to improve teaching practice.
  • Experience of using assessment and data intelligently to improve scholar progress.
  • High expectations of achievement, behaviour and attendance for all scholars.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills.
  • A commitment to the values, ethos and ambitions of Longsands Academy and Astrea Academy Trust.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
