Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join our specialist ASD Centre at Chandlers Field School. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive team, helping pupils with diverse needs thrive in a safe and challenging environment.

As a Learning Support Assistant at LEO Academy Trust, your primary mission is to assist in the delivery of specialist provision, care, and supervision for our pupils. You will be at the heart of the classroom, supporting children with neurodiversity and social communication difficulties.

What you will bring:

  • An understanding of how children learn and experience supporting pupils in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and safeguarding procedures.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and pupils.
  • A "can-do" attitude, a sense of humour, and the ability to use your initiative.
  • A commitment to meeting the needs of every child (a Level 3 Diploma in supporting teaching and learning is desirable but not essential).

Why Choose LEO Academy Trust?

LEO Academy Trust champions continuous professional development and delivers a programme of in-house CPD. We also work with a range of partners to offer accessible training for all staff including e-learning and face-to-face workshops.

We believe in the importance of succession planning, and that we are well placed to support you in your next challenge. We offer opportunities to work across different academies within the Trust, and a commitment to promotion opportunities, encouraging ‘home grown’ talent. We also provide access to extensive health and wellbeing support via our dedicated staff platforms.

Pre-Employment Checks

As part of our due diligence, all shortlisted candidates will be subject to an online search (including social media). To comply with statutory requirements, successful applicants must provide an enhanced DBS certificate, confirm their identity and right to work in the UK, and provide references with any gaps in employment fully explained. Verification of professional qualifications and overseas checks (where applicable) will also be conducted.

Application Process

PLEASE NOTE - YOU CAN ONLY APPLY FOR THIS ROLE VIA THE LEO ACADEMY TRUST WEBSITE

All candidates should detail how you meet the aspects of the person specification for the role. You should describe your suitability against the person specification and ensure that you cover all essential criteria (if not marked as essential, please assume all are essential), by providing evidence and examples of proven experience. We are unable to accept CVs without a completed application.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.
