We are looking for a level 3 teaching assistant to join our highly ambitious team who truly are dedicated in making a real difference to the lives of children at this wonderful school.

This role will be based in our enhanced provision classroom called The Acorn Room to support our high-needs SEND pupils.

As part of the Summit Learning Trust, you will have bespoke professional development opportunities and the chance to develop and further your career. You will also have the opportunity to work with colleagues from across schools, sharing resources and good practice.

The Oaklands Primary School is a 2-form entry Primary school in Acock’s Green Birmingham. Our Ofsted report (November 2018) has identified many positives within our school. “Leaders and the Trust are highly ambitious for the school.” Staff “feel valued and part of a strong team.” There is a “rich and engaging curriculum” in place that “stimulates pupils’ interests and their desire to learn.” Ofsted 2018

If you would like to be part of our journey to excellence, we would love to hear from you.

We embrace and celebrate the diverse communities that make The Oaklands ‘who we are’. We believe that every child has the right to the highest possible standards in their education so that they are equipped with the skills they need to succeed in life. We are ambitious and aspirational for all our pupils and set high targets. We aim high because we know with the right opportunities, our pupils can do it.

We take great pride in developing a caring, creative and safe environment for our pupils and we are passionate about providing a rich and varied curriculum that inspires curiosity and enquiry.

Join us and you will be part of a fantastic team. We believe in working collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting each other to achieve great things. We are delighted to offer an opportunity to work within our supportive SEND Team, in which we aim to help students reach their full potential in a supportive environment.

With a level 3 TA qualification as well as GCSE’s (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/5 or above/equivalent, you will have a real passion for supporting pupils with particular needs, as well as a desire to develop a pro-active and supportive culture throughout school.

Are you our newest recruit? Are you ready to really make a difference and join us on our journey?

For a full description of the role and person specification, please see the accompanying documents.

If this role interests you, we would love to hear from you. Please contact the school office on 0121 706 2168 to arrange an informal visit and to meet our fabulous staff and pupils.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
