The posting

When you ask children at Horley Infant School what they did today, they’ll often tell you “We had lunch!”. Lunchtimes are such an important part of the day to a child and we need a reliable and enthusiastic team player to join the Horley Infant School midday team to make our lunchtimes legendary! In our latest Staff Wellbeing Survey, our school staff reported an 11% greater level of job satisfaction than the national benchmark. Maybe this could be your moment to join us?

With the Midday Supervisor Team, you will help set up and clear furniture within the school restaurant, supervise children and support the move from dependence to independence during lunchtime both in the dining hall and playground. Our Midday Supervisor team ensure the children have an enjoyable and engaging lunchtime experience as well as encouraging healthy eating and good manners. This is often achieved through our AMAZING lunchtime play activities which have led us to be a Platinum Award OPAL school. You can see what lunchtime play looks like at Horley infants by watching our video - search on youtube 'Horley Infant School Opal'.

You will also help engage and enhance the team and children in a wide range of games and activities whilst promoting positive play and behaviour and helping children build relationships with others.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is patient, tolerant, sympathetic and fair
  • Can initiate play and encourage children to be the best version of themselves
  • Is hard working and conscientious
  • Has excellent listening skills
  • Can work independently, show initiative and stay calm under pressure
  • Has an ability to build strong, trusting relationships
  • Supports our OPAL (Outdoor Play & Learning) work - see more information on our school website via Greensand Multi Academy Trust.

We will offer:

  • A competitive salary
  • A team of supportive staff
  • Continued CPD programme
  • An excellent staff assistance programme with access to wellbeing and health initiatives, including counselling, physiotherapy, menopause and weight management support
  • Onsite parking
  • Pension Scheme

This is a permanent position, working Monday to Friday, from 11:30am to 1:15pm. 8.75 hours per week, term time only, 38 weeks per annum.

Pay scale: GMAT Support Staff pay scale 1: £12.84per hour / £24,092 FTE / £4,908 pro rata.

Applications will be considered upon receipt and we reserve the right to appoint someone sooner than this if we identify a suitable candidate. You are therefore encouraged to apply for the role as soon as possible.

We want to attract the broadest range of talented people to be part of our Trust. We strive to create a diverse and inclusive environment and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If you need any specific support or require alternative formats, please contact us.

Greensand Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Applicants are required to declare all convictions and cautions, even those that are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules, to assess suitability to work with children. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to disclose information relevant to safeguarding prior to interview.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
