nURSERY mANAGER

Permanent, full time from September 2026

Full Time Equivalent Pay £28,598 to £31,022 (pay award pending).

Pro-rata, 37 hours term time only £23,978 to £26,011

Are you looking for new opportunities in a school-based nursery that is open term time only between 9.00 am and 3.00 pm?

New Road Primary & Nursery is a three-form entry school and nursery in the market town of Whittlesey, just 6 miles from Peterborough.

Essentials skills and qualification include:

Nursery management experience

A strong record of on-going training and/or professional qualifications

Able to lead by example, providing the highest quality childcare, whilst providing support and leadership to the staff team

Minimum full and relevant LEVEL 3 in Early Years Education

A strong understanding of Development Matters

Being willing to go above and beyond for families

Responsibilities Include:

Day to day management of the Nursery

Building strong and positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues

Maintaining the highest standards of quality within the nursery

Complete CPD to continuously up-skill and provide the best practice in your setting, & cascade this learning to your team

Actively promote your setting to new and potential families

Make sure the setting’s policies and procedures are adhered to at all times

Deliver rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps young children to develop and flourish

Working in partnership with other professionals to ensure all individual needs are met and all children are able to reach their full potential
