The posting

We are looking for an ambitious and inspirational person with a passion for making a difference and enabling children to succeed, to take on the role of leading English at our ‘good’ Infant and Nursery School. The role involves a 3 day a week class-based responsibility, in a job-share with an existing member of staff but time will be given for leading English across the school.

We are an inner-city Infant and Nursery School. We pride ourselves on the fact that we place children and relationships at the centre of everything we do. As a relational school, we strive to build, maintain and repair relationships with all stakeholders to ensure every child feels safe, secure, supported, happy, enthused and challenged. We work to ensure that all children are empowered to excel and are provided with opportunities to do so through demonstrating the school values.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be caring and compassionate
  • Supporting development of teaching and learning of English throughout the school and nursery
  • Be a strong and passionate leader, who is committed to providing the highest outcomes and standard of provision.
  • Monitor and observe teaching and learning across the school to improve and develop practise and feed back to staff
  • Analyse data to identify trends and set targets
  • Have a strong pedagogy in primary education
  • Have a love of English, teaching children to read, write and be confident orators
  • Enjoy working as part of a successful team
  • Be a confident teacher who strives for excellence
  • Want to make a difference and have impact on school improvement

The successful candidate will need:

  • A clear understanding of how young children learn
  • At least 3 years’ experience of working in Primary Education
  • The ability to work well with children, colleagues and other professionals
  • A commitment to child development and equal opportunities

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Patience and a good sense of humour

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
