Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher looking to join a supportive and nurturing school community?

We are seeking to appoint a part-time Year 2 Teacher to work Monday to Wednesday, plus additional PPA time, as part of a job-share arrangement alongside an experienced Year 2 teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming school where children are at the heart of everything we do.

Fixed-term in the first instance, with a view to the post becoming permanent.

We welcome, as part of our team, a self-motivated and enthusiastic teacher who is committed to bringing imaginative ideas into the classroom and has high aspirations for all children. Confidence, resilience and a commitment to excellence are qualities we value highly in all our staff.

We can offer you:

  • A warm and welcoming school community.
  • Enthusiastic, well-behaved children who enjoy learning and are eager to succeed.
  • A friendly, supportive and experienced team of colleagues.
  • The opportunity to work alongside an experienced Year 2 teacher.
  • Supportive parents and carers.
  • An attractive, well-resourced classroom environment.
  • A lovely, well-appointed school building and grounds.
  • High-quality professional support and excellent opportunities for development.
  • A positive culture that values staff wellbeing and teamwork.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for all pupils.
  • Has a secure understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Is inspirational, creative and passionate about teaching and learning.
  • Promotes a love of learning through engaging and motivating lessons.
  • Can plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences that meet the needs of all children.
  • Is committed to ensuring pupils make strong progress and achieve their full potential.
  • Takes pride in creating an engaging and stimulating learning environment.
  • Has excellent behaviour management skills and promotes positive relationships.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and contributes fully to school life.
  • Demonstrates confidence, resilience and a willingness to continually develop their practice.

If you are committed to high standards, keen to develop your expertise and practice, and bring enthusiasm and positivity to your role, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged. Prospective applicants are invited to visit on Thursday 8 October at 4:00pm or Wednesday 15 October at 9:00am to learn more about the role and our school community.

Shortlisting: Monday 19 October, 1:00pm.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
