About Our School

Our Lady of Lourdes in Huddersfield is a vibrant, welcoming Catholic Primary Academy. We are proud to be part of the Blessed Peter Snow Catholic Multi-Academy Trust (BPSCAT), established by the Diocese of Leeds for Catholic Education in Kirklees and Calderdale. Rooted in our faith, our school environment celebrates the unique potential of every child within a nurturing, inclusive community.

About the Role

Are you a versatile, dynamic, and highly adaptable educator looking for a diverse teaching role without the demands of full-time class responsibility?

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding PPA and Cover Teacher to work across our vibrant school from Wednesday to Friday. This is an exciting, non-class-based role where no two days are the same. You will provide high-quality teaching release for staff commitments (such as PPA, leadership time, and staff training) as well as covering short-term sickness absences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cross-School Teaching: Deliver engaging, high-impact lessons across all mainstream phases, seamlessly moving from Early Years (Nursery/Reception) right through to Key Stage 2 (Year 6).
  • Maintain Continuity: Follow existing planning or adapt quickly to ensure pupils maintain strong learning momentum during their regular teacher's absence.
  • Alternative Provision Context: Confidently provide cover support within our specialised on-site Alternative Provision (which houses a dedicated SEMH class and a Complex SEND class) where you will work alongside our specialist staff to support children's learning and wellbeing (you will not be expected to lead or plan the core teaching within these units).
  • Positive Behaviour Management: Apply our school behaviour policy consistently, fostering an inclusive, welcoming, and safe learning environment rooted in our community values.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will be a highly confident teacher who possesses:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Mission Alignment: A commitment to supporting and upholding the Catholic ethos, values, and mission of our Academy and Trust.
  • Broad Curriculum Confidence: Documented success teaching across both EYFS and the primary National Curriculum spectrum.
  • Adaptability: Confidence working alongside specialist teams to support pupils with a range of needs from a wide demographic.
  • Positive Behaviour Strategies: Excellent classroom management skills, inclusive practice and the ability to build positive relationships with all pupils.
  • Great Communication: The ability to liaise effectively with class teachers, support staff, and phase leaders to ensure continuity for pupils.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.
