Your new school

Hasmonean Middle School for Boys is part of the Hasmonean Multi-Academy Trust, a highly regarded educational community known for its commitment to academic excellence, outstanding teaching, and student achievement. The school prides itself on fostering an environment where staff are highly skilled, passionate about education, and dedicated to helping every student reach their full potential.

Your new role

We are looking for a music teacher who can inspire boys to love music.

For our Year 7 and 8 pupils, we’re looking for someone who can do more than simply teach music — someone who can make them want to make music.

We want an enthusiastic and engaging teacher who can capture the imagination of boys at this important stage of their education. Someone who can bring music to life, make lessons exciting and relevant, and inspire pupils to discover what they are capable of.

What matters most is your ability to connect with young people and get them excited about learning.

The successful candidate will be someone who:

  • Has a genuine passion for music and loves sharing that enthusiasm with young people.
  • Can build strong relationships with Year 7 and 8 boys and understand what motivates them.
  • Brings energy, creativity and personality into the classroom.
  • Can make music feel relevant, accessible and exciting.
  • Is confident enough to inspire pupils to have a go, even when they are initially reluctant.
  • Can create a classroom where pupils feel successful, challenged and proud of what they produce.
  • Wants to inspire the next generation of musicians — not simply teach the curriculum

We are looking for someone who will walk into a music lesson and make the boys think: “This is going to be fun.”

Qualifications and experience are important, but personality, musicality and the ability to engage our pupils are just as important to us.

We are looking for someone who will walk into a music lesson and make the boys think: “This is going to be fun.”

We reserve the right to close these vacancies early should we receive an overwhelming response. All candidates are advised to refer to the job description and person specification before making an application

The appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
