As a pastoral team member, your role will involve:
Building positive, trusting relationships with children and families, helping every child to feel listened to, valued and safe.
Providing targeted support for vulnerable pupils, helping to overcome barriers to learning and enabling them to thrive both personally and academically.
Working closely with parents, carers, staff and external professionals (including social workers and mental health professionals) to ensure children and families receive the right support at the right time.
Supporting children through key transitions, including joining the school, moving schools and preparing for secondary education.
Delivering individual and small-group interventions to support children's social, emotional and behavioural development.
Playing an important role in maintaining our strong safeguarding culture and promoting the wellbeing of all pupils.
Advocating for children during safeguarding meetings ensuring their welfare is at the forefront of decision making.
