For Corpus Christi Catholic Primary Academy

Ashmore Avenue, Wolverhampton, WV11 2LT

Closing Date: Monday 5 October 2026 at 12 noon

Interviews: w/c Monday 12 October 2026

Salary: Leadership Scale L14 - L20

At the heart of our Catholic Multi-Academy Trust is a mission that shapes all we do. Inspired by the witness of St Gabriel, we form Christ-centred pilgrims of hope who embody kindness, seek truth with bold curiosity, hunger for knowledge, and long for justice. These five characteristics express how our mission lives and breathes in our schools, shaping culture, leadership, teaching, and community. St Gabriel the Archangel CMAT is a family of 64 schools working together to deliver quality education to those we serve.

Corpus Christi Catholic Primary Academy serves the parish of Corpus Christi and Our Lady of Perpetual Succour. Our faith is very important to us and it provides the foundation for the social, emotional and educational development of every pupil. We are a one form entry primary school at the heart of the local community. Everyone at Corpus Christi is dedicated to providing the best possible education and care to every single young person we serve. We aim to give all our children an exciting and challenging faith-based curriculum so that they discover and develop their God given abilities and skills during their time at Corpus Christi.

We are looking for an exceptional, resilient and inspiring leader to be the Principal of Corpus Christi Catholic Primary Academy from January 2027, who is able to build on our existing successes and offer quality educational provision to our children.

We are looking for someone who:

  • A faith driven leader rooted in "We live our lives like Jesus" and is able to bring this mission to life. Actively nurturing the spiritual life of pupils and staff, deepening links with the local parish, and modeling Gospel values of love, service, and inclusion.
  • Has experience of having worked in a successful school previously and has the ability to accelerate progress for disadvantaged pupils
  • Is able to engage parents as genuine partners of their children's education
  • Has the ambition, drive, determination and commitment of an excellent leader
  • Is able to articulate and share a vision of primary education within the aims and values of Corpus Christi Catholic Primary Academy
  • Has the knowledge of what constitutes quality in educational provision, the characteristics of effective schools and strategies for raising standards and the achievement of all pupils at pace
  • Understands and commits to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all pupils
  • Has the ability to build and maintain good relationships

We can offer you:

  • The opportunity to work with an experienced Catholic Senior Executive Leader and a team of school performance and transformation partners where you will be given the opportunity to broaden and develop your skills.
  • A committed, hardworking and supportive team both in the school and as part of the wider St Gabriel the Archangel community.
  • Central Services for Finance, HR, Estates and IT to enable school leaders to focus on teaching and learning
  • A happy, caring and safe environment, where Staff and Governors work in partnership with parents and with the parish communities
  • An inclusive and diverse culture which encourages understanding and respect for others

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
