As a large and ever growing school, St Matthew’s can offer you a team to work within led by the SENCO and Assistant Head for Inclusion. As well as being part of a team, St Matthew’s also recognises that you will have significant experience and we welcome new ideas.

Whilst St Matthew’s is a large primary school, it has a calm, personal and happy atmosphere. We are a big school with small community habits and pride ourselves on everyone’s personal, academic and professional well-being and this is a cornerstone of our ethos. The sense of being in an ambitious, supportive family is often commented on by children, parents and staff alike.

From our new, experienced SEN Teaching Assistant we would ask you to:

  • Be a positive, flexible and proactive team player
  • Show demonstrable impact in your current role
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience of working with a high level of SEN
  • Support the teaching and learning of an individual with SEN
  • Work in collaboration with teachers, contributing to planning and assessment of SEN pupils
  • Build positive relationships with children and have experience of a wide range of strategies that can be used to engage, enthuse and support learners
  • Be aware of the SEND Code of Practice

In return we can offer you:

  • A truly child centred, friendly and holistic school
  • A strong team and school community
  • A safe and nurturing environment for our staff as well as our pupils
  • A supportive and solution focused SENCO and SLT who are dedicated to school improvement

As well as:

  • Dedicated specialist teams to support our teaching and learning e.g. PE Team, Language Team, Family team, Creative Arts Team
  • Teaching Assistant support in all year groups
  • Lots of extra-curricular activities and trips for the children
  • Progression pathways
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme
  • Comprehensive whole school and individual CPD programme
  • Onsite parking
  • A well-equipped staff room, access to school lunches and a central location with many amenities in very short walking distance

We all know a picture speaks a thousand words and a visit to St Matthew’s is the only way to understand why you will want to work here. Call Amy Ingleby on 01582 723970 to arrange a visit.

Apply now and take a step towards your future career at St Matthew’s!

This role is a fixed term post to 31/08/2027 with a flexible start date, term time only, 32.5 hours per week - 8:30am-3:45pm.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
