Aston Community Education Trust are a forward thinking and ambitious multi-academy trust, comprising of three secondary and nine primary academies across the Rotherham, Sheffield and North Derbyshire areas.

Waverley Primary Academy, part of Aston Community Education Trust (ACET), is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled SEND Integrated Resource Lead to join our dedicated team to further develop and grow our SEND Integrated Resource. We are a mainstream Primary School and Nursery, Integrated Resource with enhanced provision, supporting pupils with EHCPs who have Communication and Interaction as their primary area of need.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence the development of the provision while working closely with RMBC and with ACET Inclusion leaders.

The purpose of resource is to provide bespoke curriculum provision and support for pupils who require an alternative learning environment and bespoke curriculum either as part or all of their time in school. We are looking for an experienced Send leader who has the passion and expertise in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, particularly Communication and Interaction and Social, Emotional and Mental Health.

The SEND integrated Resource Lead will manage and lead a team consisting of a teacher and support staff. The successful candidate will be expected to drive the provision whilst supporting all staff to ensure the highest quality offer and delivery.

The SEND Integrated Resource Lead would have responsibility for the organisational management of the Resource, such as admissions, consultations, liaison with the Local Authority, regular communication with the Principal, SENDCo and professionals, to support the statutory annual review cycle. As a member of the SEND and Inclusion Team, the successful candidate will meet regularly with the Principal and SENDCo to ensure the Integrated resource remains integral to the provision of the whole academy. They will be expected to model a commitment to the wider development of the academy and to be a role model in their professional attitude and conduct.

The role is based at Waverley Primary Academy and will involve working collaboratively with other academies across the trust. Safeguarding

ACET is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All applicants should read our safeguarding Policy and Safer Recruitment Policy, which are available on the ‘policy’ section of our academy websites.

It is an offence to seek employment in regulated activity if you are barred from working with children. This post will involve regular contact with children and therefore is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Applicants are therefore not entitled to withhold information about convictions, cautions or bind-over orders which for any other purposes are “spent” under the provisions of the Act. Any information that is “protected” under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 will not appear on a DBS certificate and does not need to be declared. Guidance on this can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/new-guidance-on-the-rehabilitation-of-offenders-act-1974

Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check at the appropriate level. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a self-declaration related to their criminal record or any information that would make them unsuitable to work with children. Additional checks in relation to the Childcare Disqualification Regulations will be undertaken for successful candidates to junior academies. If you have lived or worked outside of the UK, additional information may be required from you to satisfy safer recruitment checks.

Equality

ACET is committed to ensuring equality of opportunity throughout the recruitment process. We welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, and your application will be assessed purely on your ability to do the job.

We undertake to make any ‘reasonable adjustments’ to a job or workplace to counteract any disadvantages a disabled person may face. Where required, we will make reasonable adjustments to the selection process for an applicant with a disability.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
