About The ELP:

The Enhanced Learning Provision (ELP) at Churchwood Primary School aims to provide an engaging, safe and personalised learning environment. Our objectives include encouraging students to develop independent learning skills whilst nurturing opportunities for our learners to express themselves in a wide variety of ways.

Students with Autism and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) benefit from personalised and highly adapted learning experiences. Our curriculum is child-centred, ensuring that individual needs are met through bespoke planning, targeted support, and carefully tailored resources. Developing positive communication, interaction, and relationships with both peers and adults is embedded throughout the school day.

Our approach includes:

  • A flexible school day tailored to meet pupils' sensory needs.
  • Enhanced opportunities for recall, repetition, and consolidation of learning.
  • Adapted teaching approaches designed to support autistic learners and those with Speech, Language and Communication Needs.
  • Opportunities for reintegration into mainstream settings and reverse integration, where appropriate.

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and committed teacher who:

  • Has a strong understanding of a range of special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Has a secure understanding of how to support pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of effective autism-specific approaches and strategies.
  • Has experience working within SEND settings (this role is not suitable for teachers without relevant SEND experience).
  • Is a collaborative team player with a strong commitment to securing the best outcomes for pupils with SEND.
  • Is ambitious for all pupils and reflective in their professional practice.
  • Has knowledge of East Sussex County Council annual review processes.
  • Has experience of effective multi-agency working.

We welcome applications from experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers who can demonstrate relevant experience of working within SEND provision. We will consider Upper Pay Scale salaries for applicants with relevant experiences.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
