The posting

Think you know Lift Firth Park? We might surprise you.

Lift Firth Park is on an exciting journey of transformational change, and the momentum is already building. Driven by a revitalised culture of belonging and strong community values, our student outcomes are rising and we are just getting started. To take our school from strength to strength, we are seeking skilled, dedicated English educators to join us in shaping an outstanding team, inspiring our students, and driving our next chapter of excellence.

Are you an inspiring educator looking to make a lasting difference in young lives? We would love to hear from you.

About the Role

In this role, you will ignite curiosity for English and empower students of all backgrounds to unlock their full potential. Whether you are an experienced teacher looking for your next career step or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a supportive foundation, you will find a collaborative culture here that values your voice, invests in your growth, and celebrates your impact in the classroom every day.

Role Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality, inclusive lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, that engage, challenge, and support all learners.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and positive classroom environment where diversity is celebrated, and every student feels respected and capable of success.
  • Assess, track, and support individual student progress, providing constructive feedback that nurtures confidence and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong, respectful working relationships with students, colleagues, families, and the wider community.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, team planning, and the broader extra-curricular life of the school.
  • Actively engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and contribute to whole-school initiatives.

What we are looking for

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent, along with a degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience of working in a UK school environment in either a teaching or classroom support capacity.
  • You naturally raise aspirations in the classroom, dedicated to guiding every student toward their best possible outcomes.
  • Inclusive Mindset: A deep commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring every child receives the tailored support they need to thrive.
  • Subject Passion: A genuine love for your subject and the ability to bring the curriculum to life in meaningful, creative ways.
  • Positive Relationship Builder: Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills rooted in empathy, positive reinforcement, and high expectations.
  • Team Player: A collaborative attitude, eagerness to share best practice, and a willingness to contribute positively to our school culture.

About the School

Lift Firth Park is a vibrant, mixed secondary school for students aged 11-16. Located in Shiregreen, Sheffield, we serve around 1,200 pupils and reflect a richly diverse community, with more than a third of students speaking English as an additional language. Our school is currently undergoing an exciting period of transformational change, and we are already seeing its positive impact-in the classroom, across the curriculum and throughout our culture. This is an excellent time to join our team. We are looking for individuals who share our dedication to inclusive, aspirational education and who are excited to contribute to our renewed vision and ambitious future.

You must be available to interview in person for this interview. Do you have the skills to make a difference in the classroom? If so we want to hear from you. Would you like to know more about this role? Please contact

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
