Urmston Grammar School is a well-established secondary school located in the United Kingdom, committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a supportive learning environment. We are currently seeking a Teacher of English for maternity cover to join our English department. This role focuses on teaching Key Stage 3 & 4 students.

Position: Teacher of English - Maternity Cover Department: English and Literature Education Stage: Secondary (Key Stage 3 & 4) Position Type: Temporary, full-time

Job Description: As a Teacher of English at Urmston Grammar School, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that inspire and motivate students at Key Stage 3 & 4. You will support the development of students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while contributing positively to the school community during this temporary period.

Skills and Qualifications: - Suitable for newly qualified teachers. - Strong command of the English language with good literacy skills. - Ability to plan effective lessons tailored to Key Stage learners. - Good communication skills with both students and colleagues. - Willingness to learn and adapt within a supportive team environment.

Values and Attitudes: - Commitment to promoting an inclusive learning atmosphere where all students feel valued. - Enthusiasm for helping young people develop confidence in their abilities through encouragement and support. - Professionalism combined with patience, resilience, and flexibility during this temporary assignment. - A positive approach towards collaboration within the department as well as across the wider school community.
