TEACHER OF PE

We are seeking an innovative, highly effective and inspirational full-time teacher of PE (part time would still be considered). A recruitment allowance will be considered for an appropriately experienced teacher who has the right skills and attributes.

Brighton Hill Community School is a successful and ambitious 11-16 school serving over 1,300 students in Basingstoke. Our recent Ofsted inspection recognised the significant strengths of the school, judging Attendance and Behaviour, Inclusion, Leadership and Governance, and Personal Development and Wellbeing to be at a Strong Standard. Inspectors highlighted our culture of high expectations, strong relationships, inclusive ethos and commitment to both student success and staff development.

The successful candidate will be:

  • An excellent classroom practitioner
  • Committed to achieving the very best outcomes for our students
  • Able to create a stimulating learning environment to promote exceptional progress
  • Passionate about teaching and learning and your own professional development
  • Able to make a significant contribution to the development of the PE Faculty and Extra Curricular Provision
  • Able to showcase significant knowledge and expertise across multiple sport specialisms and theory concepts, particularly in line with AQA GCSE PE

Why apply to work at Brighton Hill Community School?

Our recent Ofsted inspection recognised many of the qualities that make Brighton Hill a rewarding place to work:

"The strength of relationships is a driving force for pupils' positive behaviour."

"Leaders place a high priority on supporting staff wellbeing and career development."

"They have created a rich culture of professional learning, underpinned by educational research."

"Leaders' commitment to inclusion is central to the decisions they make."

These findings reflect our commitment to the school's cornerstones of Commitment, Collaboration, Courage and Kindness, and our determination to provide an environment where both students and staff can thrive. Inspectors recognised the positive culture that exists across the school, the strength of support available for students, and the professional learning opportunities available to colleagues at all stages of their careers.

If you are an ambitious and enthusiastic PE teacher who is passionate about inspiring young people to achieve their potential, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
