The posting

Christ the King College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and committed Teacher of Science to join our team.

We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner with a genuine passion for Science and the ability to inspire and challenge students. The successful candidate will have strong subject knowledge, high expectations and a commitment to ensuring that all students are supported to make excellent progress. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates who are also able to teach Maths at KS3 or above, although this is desirable rather than essential. Applications from candidates who are looking for a part time position will also be considered.

The successful candidate will:

  1. Deliver engaging, well-structured and challenging lessons;
  2. Demonstrate excellent subject and curriculum knowledge;
  3. Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge students;
  4. Assess and monitor students' learning effectively and use this to support progress;
  5. Adapt teaching appropriately to meet the strengths and needs of individual students;
  6. Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a positive, safe learning environment;
  7. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and secure strong outcomes for students; and
  8. Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the College.

We are looking for someone who:

  1. Has a passion for their subject and can communicate that enthusiasm to young people;
  2. Is an effective and reflective classroom practitioner;
  3. Has high expectations of themselves and their students;
  4. Is committed to securing excellent outcomes for all learners;
  5. Is enthusiastic about developing their own practice and engaging in professional development;
  6. Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team; and
  7. Shares our commitment to the safeguarding and wellbeing of all students.

The ability to also teach Maths at Key Stage 3 or above would be a particular advantage.

Applications are welcomed from experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers.

What We Offer:

  1. A Collaborative Environment: Work alongside experienced specialists in a department known for its support and shared resources.
  2. A dedicated ECT Induction Programme: You will receive high-quality mentoring and a reduced timetable to support your professional growth.
  3. Professional Development: Access to ongoing training and opportunities to contribute to curriculum initiatives.
  4. Career Progression: Long-term growth and offer development opportunities and whole-school responsibilities for colleagues looking to further their teaching career.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher to join Christ the King College and play an active part in both the academic and wider life of the College. The College expects its teachers to contribute positively to its wider life and ethos, work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain high professional standards.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.
