We are a caring and happy single form entry school, educating children between the ages of 5 and 11 years. Our strong Christian ethos underpins our teaching and learning and staff are dedicated to creating a learning environment where children are challenged and supported. We focus on each child’s unique potential and help them develop the resilience to keep trying, the confidence to believe they can reach their goals and have pride in themselves for who they are. We are part of the Acorn Education Trust, which provides exciting opportunities to collaborate and improve local education.

As a Teaching Assistant, you must be able to work across all age ranges within our school and be prepared to work flexibly to provide cover on a regular basis and support children of all abilities, including those requiring social and emotional support, SEN support, liaising with teachers and SENCO. The role will require you to work 1:1 with children with EHCPs in place and / or small group interventions.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a passion for delivering high quality and exciting opportunities for young people;
  • Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents;
  • Has superb attention to detail and organisational skills;
  • Is self-motivated dedicated and consistent;
  • Enjoys working with young people and can develop good working relationships with them;
  • Has the ability to deal with new challenging situations;
  • Can be a strong team player as well as use your own initiative;
  • Has a positive and flexible attitude;
  • Understands and is sympathetic to the needs of young people, including their social and emotional wellbeing;
  • Has experience of supporting children’s learning;
  • Has a current First Aid or is prepared to undertake training.

We can offer the successful candidate:

  • An ambitious and vibrant place to work, with enthusiastic children and staff who are passionate about learning;
  • A workplace where everyone feels valued and supported;
  • Opportunities for training and progression;
  • The support of Acorn Education Trust, with excellent opportunities to work with experienced colleagues;
  • A supportive and clearly defined induction procedure.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
