Teaching Assistant

Bishop Young CofE Academy

Nature of Contract

Fixed term (Maternity Cover), term time only, 38 weeks per year plus 5 days (39 weeks)

FTE Salary

GRADE B3, scp 7 - 11, £27,274 to £29,071 per annum, pro rata

Actual Salary

£20,606 - £21,963, based on 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Working Hours

Part time, 32.5 per week

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who can:

  • Contribute to the on-going development of the Academy's Resource Provision
  • Encourage and enthuse students with complex communication needs including autism, to achieve their full potential
  • Supervise and provide particular support for students with additional needs
  • Assist in the planning of learning activities
  • Undertake work in the classroom or outside the main teaching area on a 1:1 or small group basis.

You will be:

  • A highly motivated and hard-working individual
  • A team-player who can develop positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Someone who will support the Trust's Christian ethos as well as our shared mission and values
