The posting

If you are an enthusiastic and supportive Teaching Assistant who is committed to getting the best outcomes for pupils then we want to hear from you. The successful candidate will be able to build effective working relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues and will adapt their approach to meet the needs of all pupils.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils
  • Promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
  • Giving support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement

St George’s Catholic Voluntary Academy is a thriving and ambitious primary school at the heart of the Littleover community in Derby. In May 2024, the school was judged Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted, recognising its exceptionally high standards, strong Catholic ethos and unwavering commitment to pupil success.
