Teaching Assistant Level 2

Salary Range: Grade D - Between FTE £25,712 - £27,818 / Actual £19,693 - £21,305 + SEN Allowance

Location: High Point Academy, Friar Park Rd, Wednesbury, WS10 0JS

Contract: Full time, Permanent, Term-Time Only (Part time applicants will be considered for suitable applicants)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for three Teaching Assistant Level 2to join Highpoint Academy.

High Point Academy is a specialist setting for pupils aged 11 to 16 with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), associated Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). At High Point, we believe that every child has unique strengths, talents and aspirations. Pupils at High Point access their curriculum through one of two pathways. These have been carefully tailored to meet the needs of pupils and are designed to support them to achieve their full potential, develop independence and become life-long learners

High Point Academy recognises Teaching Assistants are valued members of our school community; they have a crucial role in supporting pupils to access their curriculum and nurture potential.

The successful candidate will :

- Have a compassionate and patient nature

- Role model positive behaviours and attitudes, adhering to all school and trust policies

- Hold strong communication skills

- Demonstrate empathy and understanding towards diverse needs

- Be dedicated to fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment

- Have an eagerness to learn and grow in an inclusive setting

-NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications or experience would be desirable
