The posting

Burrowmoor Primary Academy seek to appoint a number of inspirational, dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistants to join our experienced team, initially for one term with immediate affect.

School based experience of working with children with additional communication and social and emotional needs is essential. The role will be to initially support children in KS1 who have EHCPs, to help develop their communication challenges, speech & language difficulties, social and emotional regulation and social interaction challenges. The right candidates will be working closely to support the SENDCo, existing Teaching assistants and the class teacher. There will be times when this person will be working in a smaller group setting too.

You will work 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break between 12:15 p.m. - 12:45 p.m., 38 working weeks per annum until 31st July 27. For the right candidates this could be extended.

We are looking for people with relevant school based experience, who will bring enthusiasm and a commitment to children's learning to our happy and friendly school. The right candidate will need to be adaptable, child focussed, enthusiastic, highly motivated, calm and patient, and have the ability to work as part of a team, as well as use their own initiative. The ability to re-focus children and to think on their feet will be essential for this challenge.

Desirable knowledge and skills include:

  • Attention Autism Experience
  • A good understanding of Trauma informed practice
  • Makaton
  • A good understanding of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum and expectations, including phonics
  • Techniques and ideas to refocus dysregulated children in many different situations.

We can offer you:

  • Collaborative approach to working
  • Support and Training from internal and external professionals
  • Opportunities to train/work with other academies within the Diamond Learning Partnership Trust to share best practice and resources
  • A friendly and professional team
  • Local Government Pension Scheme
  • A caring and supportive working environment.

The Diamond Learning Partnership Trust is a charitable multi-academy trust specialising in the Primary sector. We are building a thriving community of schools that succeed on behalf of their children. The Family of Academies within the Trust currently incorporates two hubs; St Neots and The Fenlands.

The St Neots hub has eight academies; Middlefield, Winhills, The Round House, Great Staughton, Kimbolton, Roman Way, Braybrook and Wintringham. The Fenlands hub has five academies; Thomas Eaton, Glebelands, Leverington, Gorefield and Burrowmoor. As such, joining our MAT means joining an organisation with an array of career opportunities that span twelve different locations.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
