The posting

We strive to create a safe, creative and inspiring learning environment, where each pupil develops a genuine love of learning and an inquiring mind. We place a strong importance on every pupil's personal, social and emotional development.

We are looking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is experienced at working with KS2 children, initially in Year 4, although this may change from year to year, according to the needs of the children.

We want the successful candidates to be passionate about helping young people to achieve their full potential, to have high expectations of themselves, to share our passion for learning and our aim of achieving excellence for all.

Duties will include running specific programmes and activities to assist pupil’s individual learning and social needs.

The successful candidates will:

- Believe in giving every child the opportunity to fulfil their potential.

- Have a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum, particularly English and Maths.

- Forge positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff and enjoy working as part of a whole-school team.

- Have good organisational and communication skills both orally and written.

- Knowledge of Little Wandles Phonics and Reading programme is desirable but not essential.

- Knowledge of Makaton and Cued articulation is desirable.

- Make a positive contribution to our school team.

- Provide learning support in class or in withdrawal situations, either 1:1 or small groups.

- Be able to plan and prepare, under the teacher’s direction, to teach small groups of children, including those new to English.

- Have experience working with children with additional needs (desirable).

- Have experience of carrying out interventions with identified children.

- Make or modify resources as suggested and advised by the class teacher.

- Be involved in the planning and preparation of the day to day class activities under the direction of the class teacher.

- Be flexible and adaptable.

- Support pupils in the playground and encouraging interactive play.

- Motivate and encourage pupils to have a go at activities they may be unsure of and to encourage independence.

- Provide positive reinforcements and praise.

- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom provision and give every child the opportunity to fulfil their full potential.

-

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and work closely with staff to provide positive learning experiences for our pupils.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
