The posting

Join the leading residential developer in the Baltics – part of a Northern European group that has built around 50,000 homes. Our client has repeatedly been ranked Latvia's largest residential developer, with the leading market position in Riga and Tallinn and is growing fast in Vilnius. This is a rare chance to bring AI into the company's day-to-day processes from ground up – with your own plan, your own vision and a voice that represents the Baltics at the Group level. As the Head of IT & Business Technology, you will report directly to the Baltic management and lead the digital agenda across Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. Your work will run in two directions: locally, partnering with business leaders on processes, priorities and change; and at Group level, working with the Head of Group IT in Sweden and other specialists, making sure the Baltic perspective is heard. You will define the resources and expertise needed to deliver your roadmap with additional support subject to an approved business case.

What you will do:

  • Assess the current system and data landscape – local systems, Group systems and the integrations between them – and shape a data and enterprise architecture that is reliable, well governed and ready for AI at scale, working closely with the Group data team.
  • Define and deliver the Baltic digital transformation roadmap in alignment with Group strategy, and build the case for the resources, budget and future team needed to deliver it.
  • Turn individual AI use into a company-wide way of working – identify AI, automation and process improvement opportunities, embed them in daily processes and build AI literacy through training and change management.
  • Lead the Baltic data and analytics agenda, developing KPIs, reporting and dashboards and using data insights to uncover operational and commercial improvements.
  • Own the regional portfolio of business applications and digital platforms – implementations, integrations, upgrades, lifecycle management and user adoption – and manage technology vendors and service quality.
  • Act as the key Baltic partner to Group Technology, representing Baltic needs in Group initiatives and ensuring alignment on architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, risk, compliance and business continuity.
  • Partner with Baltic leadership teams to turn business needs into technology, data and automation initiatives, acting as a trusted advisor on digital priorities and investments.
  • Manage portfolios, budgets, risks and stakeholder expectations, and communicate progress, adoption and business impact.

What we are looking for:

  • A solid IT background, with a strong understanding of technology, IT infrastructure and architecture, and the ability to engage confidently in technical discussions.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture and enterprise architecture, with the technical depth to be hands-on when needed.
  • Proven leadership experience in digital transformation, business technology or IT management – driving change and technology adoption across business functions and management-level stakeholders, with real projects you can walk us through in detail.
  • Experience driving organisational change and technology adoption across multiple stakeholders and business functions.
  • A genuine passion for AI and a good understanding of automation platforms and modern digital workplace solutions.
  • A solid general understanding of cybersecurity and how to keep systems and data secure.
  • Initiative and a vision of your own – you bring ideas forward rather than waiting to be asked.
  • Latvian language at C1 level and fluent English.
  • Driver's license and willingness to travel when required.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with the Microsoft and Azure ecosystem
  • Experience in an international group with a regional or matrix IT structure

What we offer:

  • The opportunity to shape and develop Baltic digital, data and AI capabilities, building on existing local and group systems
  • Influence beyond the Baltics – your work and ideas will reach Group level, where no comparable role exists yet
  • A stable, publicly listed Northern European employer with a strong purpose and sustainability focus
  • Hybrid work model
  • Salary of 6000 EUR – 8000 EUR gross per month, negotiable for an exceptional candidate
  • Health and accident insurance, including sports and wellness activities
  • Car allowance
  • Mobile phone plan paid by the company
  • Extra days off
  • Learning programs, monthly learning days, and certifications
  • Team events and an employee-focused culture

Company Culture:

  • A place to grow: Development is our way forward. Together we grow by sharing, collaborating and exchanging. Our diversity of competencies and countries makes us greater.
  • A work of heart: We care above and beyond. About each other, and what we create. We support each other, welcome and include everyone. Together we reach further.
  • Here to last: We're in it for the long run. Designing not only the society of tomorrow but also a work life that lasts, by putting well-being first.

Hiring process:

  1. HR interview with Teamence
  2. Technical interview and practical task
  3. Interview with the country manager
  4. Final meeting with the Group manager

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
