Join one of the leading Pan-Baltic and Scandinavian banking groups – a financial institution with deep Nordic roots, a strong presence in all three Baltic countries and millions of private and corporate customers who rely on its services every day.
As the Senior Business System Analyst, you will join the client’s Payments Baltic team and act as the bridge between technical, regulatory, architectural and business requirements. Your goal will be to analyse, document and refine requirements into clear, implementable solution specifications – working in an integration-heavy environment where APIs, data flows and system interactions are at the heart of every initiative.
What you will do:
• Analyse architecture design, regulatory requirements (where applicable), business needs and technical constraints.
• Create, document and maintain requirements for assigned initiatives.
• Produce process flows, use cases, business rules and functional specifications.
• Translate business requirements into system-level requirements suitable for development teams.
• Collaborate closely with architects, the tech lead, developers, QA and stakeholders.
• Support solution design and impact assessments.
• Participate in backlog refinement, prioritisation and estimation activities.
• Validate delivered solutions against agreed requirements.
• Support testing activities through requirement clarification and acceptance criteria definition.
• Lead and mentor other analysts when the situation requires, sharing knowledge across teams.
What you need:
- • 7-10 years of experience as a consultant in a senior Business Analyst and/or System Analyst role.
- • Proven senior experience as a very technical Business Analyst and/or System Analyst in large-scale IT delivery projects.
- • Very deep, hands-on experience in analysing and documenting APIs, data flows and system interactions.
- • Experience working with integration-heavy systems.
- • Strong requirements engineering and documentation skills.
- • Proven experience working in Agile/Kanban/Scrum delivery models.
- • The ability to solve complex and abstract tasks independently.
- • A mature, outgoing personality and the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
What we offer:
• A very long-term project – starting as soon as possible until at least 31 December 2027, with prolongation for those who deliver great results.
• The chance to work on the core payment systems of the largest bank in the Baltics.
• Hybrid work – 3 days per week onsite in the client’s office in Tallinn, Riga or Vilnius (a strict client requirement).
• A senior role with real influence on how payment solutions are analysed, specified and delivered.
• A modern technology landscape and an international Nordic-Baltic working environment.
