ABOUT US

Tekniq is a Finnish technical consulting company working on demanding projects across the energy, marine and industrial sectors in Finland and internationally. Our team of around 80 professionals supports customers throughout the project lifecycle, from engineering and project management to site services and commissioning, while also providing Owner’s Engineering expertise and acting as the customer’s technical representative.

We work where the projects happen, from engineering and design through to site execution and commissioning. We partner with leading companies in the industry on technically demanding projects.

Ready to combine your electrical project experience with people leadership?

We are looking for an Electrical Operations Manager to join Tekniq’s internal team in Vaasa or Tampere.

In this role, you will lead and support our electrical site professionals working across different customer projects. As their line manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that they have the right support and conditions to succeed in their assignments. At the same time, you will coordinate resources and work closely with our internal teams to match the right expertise with current and upcoming project needs.

Your role

As Electrical Operations Manager, you will have overall responsibility for your team of electrical site professionals throughout their employment and customer assignments.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • acting as the line manager for site professionals working in electrical projects
  • maintaining regular contact with employees working at different customer sites
  • supporting employees in their daily work and addressing questions or challenges that arise during assignments
  • coordinating personnel resources according to current and upcoming project needs
  • matching employee competence and experience with suitable customer projects
  • planning upcoming resource needs together with sales and other internal functions
  • participating in recruitment and onboarding when new site professionals are needed
  • supporting competence development and identifying future development needs within the team
  • ensuring smooth transitions between customer projects and assignments
  • contributing to the development of Tekniq’s site operations, practices and ways of working
  • working closely with customers, sales, management and other internal stakeholders.

What we expect from you

To succeed in this role, you need a solid understanding of electrical projects and site-based work. This is essential for understanding the realities our employees face in customer projects and for matching the right expertise with the right assignments.

We expect you to have:

  • relevant technical education in electrical engineering or a related field
  • previous experience in electrical projects, site operations or another closely related technical environment
  • a good understanding of site-based project work and the responsibilities of site professionals
  • previous experience in people management, team leadership or coordinating technical personnel
  • the ability to understand different competence profiles and project requirements
  • a structured and proactive approach to resource planning and people management
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • the ability to work independently and take ownership of your area of responsibility
  • fluent Finnish, which is a mandatory requirement for the role
  • good professional English skills.

Experience from the energy, industrial, marine or other demanding project environments is highly relevant to the role.

Why Tekniq?

At Tekniq, our professionals work where the projects happen, from engineering and project management to site execution and commissioning. Our customer projects vary in scope, location and technical environment, which means that our people and their expertise are at the heart of our business.

As Electrical Operations Manager, you will have a direct impact on how we support our site professionals and how effectively we connect their expertise with our customers’ project needs.

You will have room to develop the way your area operates rather than simply maintain an existing process. The role gives you considerable independence in organising your work, developing practices and finding practical solutions that work for both our employees and our projects.

This is a role for someone who enjoys working with people but also understands the technical and operational reality behind their work.

Location

The position is part of Tekniq’s internal organisation and can be based at our office in Vaasa or Tampere.

The role involves close cooperation with our site personnel, internal teams and customer projects, so occasional travel may be required depending on project and business needs.

Interested?

The application period will be open until 30th November 2026. We review applications already during the application period and may proceed with suitable candidates before the application deadline, so we encourage you to apply as soon as you are interested.

Please submit your application and CV through our official recruitment channel. We do not process applications submitted by email.

By applying for the position, you will also join our candidate network, allowing us to consider you for future opportunities matching your skills, experience and career interests.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
