ABOUT US

Tekniq is a Finnish technical consulting company working on demanding projects across the energy, marine and industrial sectors in Finland and internationally. Our team of around 80 professionals supports customers throughout the project lifecycle, from engineering and project management to site services and commissioning, while also providing Owner’s Engineering expertise and acting as the customer’s technical representative.

We work where the projects happen, from engineering and design through to site execution and commissioning. We partner with leading companies in the industry on technically demanding projects.

Are you a commercially driven sales professional who knows how to turn conversations into long-term customer relationships?

We are looking for a Sales Manager to join Tekniq’s internal team and take an active role in growing our business. In this position, you will focus on both new customer acquisition and the development of existing customer relationships.

This is a hands-on sales role for someone who enjoys opening new doors, building relationships and identifying where Tekniq’s technical expertise can create real value for the customer.

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing Tekniq’s customer base and strengthening our position with both new and existing customers. You will develop business around Tekniq’s technical expertise and service to customers operating in the energy, marine and industrial sectors, identifying needs related to engineering, project management, site operations, commissioning and other technical expertise. You will work closely with our management and technical experts to connect customer needs with the right expertise and solutions.

Your role

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing Tekniq’s customer base and strengthening our position with both new and existing customers. You will work closely with our management and sales team to connect customer needs with the right expertise and solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • identifying and approaching potential new customers
  • creating new customer relationships and developing them into long-term partnerships
  • managing and developing existing customer accounts
  • identifying new business opportunities within current customers
  • understanding customers’ upcoming projects, resource needs and technical challenges
  • preparing and following up on proposals and commercial discussions
  • maintaining an active sales pipeline and driving opportunities forward
  • meeting customers and building strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • working closely with Tekniq’s management, recruitment and sales team to ensure that customer needs and our capabilities come together
  • representing Tekniq in customer meetings, industry events and other relevant networks.

What we expect from you

Success in this role requires strong sales experience combined with a solid understanding of technical and project-driven business. You need to be able to understand our customers’ projects, technical needs and operating environments, and recognise where Tekniq’s expertise can create value.

We expect you to have:

  • previous experience in B2B sales, account management or business development
  • a proven track record in new customer acquisition and developing existing accounts
  • experience in technical consulting, engineering, energy, marine, industrial or another relevant project-driven business environment
  • the ability to identify customer needs and turn them into concrete business opportunities
  • a proactive and systematic approach to sales and pipeline development
  • strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
  • the ability to work independently and take ownership of the sales process
  • fluent Finnish, which is a mandatory requirement for the role
  • good professional English skills.

Why Tekniq?

Tekniq operates in demanding projects across the energy, marine and industrial sectors. Our work ranges from engineering and project management to technical project support, site services and commissioning.

As Sales Manager, you will be close to both our customers and our business. This means you will have a genuine opportunity to influence which customers we work with, where we grow and what kinds of opportunities we pursue.

The role offers considerable independence. We are looking for someone who brings their own commercial judgement, ideas and way of building customer relationships rather than simply following a predefined sales formula. You will have the freedom to organise your work and develop your approach, while taking clear ownership of results and progress.

No two customer situations are exactly alike. One conversation may focus on an upcoming investment project, another on an immediate need for specialist expertise, and another on developing a long-standing customer relationship further. The variety comes from our customers, their projects and the technical environments in which we operate.

Interested?

The application period will be open until 30th November 2026. We review applications already during the application period and may proceed with suitable candidates before the application deadline, so we encourage you to apply as soon as you are interested.

Please submit your application and CV through our official recruitment channel. We do not process applications submitted by email.

By applying for the position, you will also join our candidate network, allowing us to consider you for future opportunities matching your skills, experience and career interests.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
