This position would be a part-time role and would be flexible to work around student’s schedules with a target of 15-20 hrs per week. Interns will work in a dynamic, diverse, and collaborative team solving problems and acquiring hands-on experience in a wide range of areas including product design, manufacturing, environmental testing, and 2D drafting.

Throughout the program, participants will gain exposure to many fundamental disciplines of mechanical engineering: stress and strain, hot and cold thermal solutions, electronics and opto-mechanical packaging.

Potential tasks for a Mechanical Engineering Intern include but are not limited to:

  • DVT Test creation, execution and documentation
  • Prototype part inventory management
  • Assembly documentation creation and fixture design
  • Procurement tracking and coordination

Must be able to begin working part-time in the fall term. English speaking is required due to the collaborative nature of the internship program.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Junior/Senior in 4-year BS degree program for Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar engineering degree.
  • Experience designing and building products
  • Design for 3D printing and experience optimizing parts for 3D printing.
  • Strong verbal and written communicator.
  • Highly recommended: Expert user in MS Excel and familiarity with Solidworks.

Preferred: Experience with 3D CAD (Solidworks preferred) and MS Office

Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
