The posting

As a Project Engineer, you'll take ownership of day-to-day project delivery while remaining actively involved in the technical aspects of the work. You'll collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Controls and Software Engineers, as well as technicians, suppliers and customers, ensuring projects are delivered safely, effectively and to the required quality, cost and timescales.

This role offers the perfect blend of project coordination and hands-on engineering. As your experience grows, you'll have the opportunity to take on increasingly complex projects, develop broader technical expertise and build your commercial and customer-facing capabilities.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinating and delivering engineering projects through build, integration, testing, validation and deployment.
  • Leading and participating in system integration, commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
  • Working closely with engineers and technicians during critical project phases, providing practical support and technical guidance when needed.
  • Translating project objectives into clear priorities, action plans and deliverable-focused schedules.
  • Tracking progress, managing risks and helping ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Supporting technical problem-solving activities and acting as an escalation point for day-to-day engineering challenges.
  • Undertaking engineering design and modification work, including fixtures, brackets, tooling, cable management and project-specific solutions.
  • Collaborating with suppliers, internal stakeholders and customers to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve products, processes and project execution.
  • Supporting the development of innovative engineering solutions that balance technical performance with practical delivery requirements.

What you'll bring

  • A degree, HND or equivalent qualification in an engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent experience gained through industry.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, bills of materials and related documentation.
  • Strong practical engineering and problem-solving skills.
  • A methodical approach to troubleshooting and developing effective engineering solutions.
  • The confidence to work across multiple disciplines and coordinate activities involving a range of stakeholders.
  • A hands-on attitude and willingness to work closely with technicians and engineers to resolve challenges and achieve project goals.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to manage priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
