Job Title: Host/Hostess Job Department: Guest Services   Job Pay Rate: $16.50 / hour   Job Summary: As a "Guest Services" Host/Hostess, you will play an essential role in creating a welcoming and memorable guest experience. Serving as an ambassador of the brand, you will provide personalized greetings, manage guest flow, anticipate guest needs, and deliver attentive, polished service consistent with Forbes Five-Star standards. Learn more about Broadmoor here.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities include following. Other duties may be assigned:  

Meet or exceed all applicable AAA and Forbes service standards established for the Guest Services Host/Hostess position. Welcome and assist guests with a warm smile, positive attitude, and professional demeanor that reflects The Broadmoor’s philosophy and service standards. Maintain accurate and consistent records of activities and transactions occurring at the Guest Services Desk. Greet and assist arriving guests with check-in-related needs when a Bell Attendant is unavailable. Coordinate Bell Attendant activities, including guest arrivals and departures, room moves, luggage assistance, and other service requests. Assist Bell staff with the handling, transportation, and secure storage of guest luggage. Respond promptly and accurately to guest questions and requests, maintaining thorough knowledge of the Hotel, its amenities, services, restaurants, events, and surrounding area. Answer telephone calls promptly and professionally using established telephone etiquette and service standards. Assist supervisors with departmental responsibilities, including luggage drops and pulls, transportation coordination, deliveries, and other operational needs. Coordinate timely deliveries to guest rooms and Hotel departments as necessary. Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and well-stocked Guest Services and Bell Desk area. Assist guests with dining reservations at on-property restaurants and provide clear directions and information regarding Hotel outlets and amenities. Utilize Hotel computer systems proficiently to access, update, and communicate guest and operational information as appropriate. Attend and actively participate in daily pre-shift meetings to remain informed of Hotel activities, guest needs, operational updates, and departmental priorities. Protect the confidentiality and privacy of guest information in accordance with Hotel policies and established procedures. Greet, welcome, and assist arriving and departing guests while performing Door Host/Hostess responsibilities as assigned. Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance to create a seamless, personalized, and memorable guest experience. Communicate and coordinate effectively with Bell Services, Front Desk, Transportation, Concierge, and other Hotel departments to ensure timely fulfillment of guest requests. Exercise calm, intuitive judgment to resolve delicate guest complaints swiftly and discreetly under pressure. Check out with the supervisor at the conclusion of each shift and communicate any outstanding guest requests, operational concerns, or necessary follow-up. Ensure complete compliance with The Broadmoor guidelines, operational procedures, safety policies, and institutional standards for excellence (Forbes Travel Guide and AAA Five-Diamond). Maintain a willingness to learn about The Broadmoor’s history, estate grounds, wilderness properties, culinary offerings, and retail outlets. Execute additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Minimum of a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent. Previous experience in hospitality, guest services or host/hostess is highly preferred; however, an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional background will be considered. Flawless verbal and written command of English; additional languages are a strong advantage. Impeccable personal grooming aligned with luxury Broadmoor standards and the ability to maintain composure during peak operational hours. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation and email communication. A highly motivated team player who connects easily with colleagues and drives results through positive energy and seamless collaboration. Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution and ability to work in fast-paced environment. Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs. with assistance and proper safety practices. Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by Broadmoor operations.
