About The Udaiti Foundation

The Udaiti Foundation is redefining the narrative of economic development in India by placing women's economic empowerment at the centre of national progress. Aligned with the Government of India's vision of achieving a $30 trillion economy and becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047, Udaiti is focused on unlocking the full economic potential of women as a driver of inclusive and sustainable growth.

Women represent one of India's most underleveraged economic assets. Despite progress, India's Female Labour Force Participation Rate (FLFPR) remains among the lowest globally, and women-owned enterprises continue to face barriers in accessing markets, finance, and growth opportunities. The Udaiti Foundation was established to address these challenges through a focused and ambitious mandate: to double the number of women-led enterprises and increase India's FLFPR to 50% by 2047.

Led by Founding CEO Pooja Goyal, Udaiti operates at the intersection of policy, private sector engagement, data innovation, and ecosystem partnerships. The organisation works closely with governments, businesses, and civil society stakeholders to design and scale solutions that create sustainable economic opportunities for women.

At the heart of Udaiti's work is the Close the Gender Gap (CGG) Data Hub, a platform that provides actionable insights on workplace gender equity. The Foundation also develops evidence-based tools such as the Women's Economic Empowerment Index (WEEI) to support data-driven policymaking and program design.

Through strategic partnerships with leading organisations and state governments, Udaiti is working to create large-scale, measurable impact for women across India.

About the Role

The Udaiti Foundation engages with government partners to design and implement initiatives that expand women's access to quality employment, entrepreneurship opportunities, and enabling infrastructure such as safe housing and mobility.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Program Intern to support ongoing programs and partnerships. The intern will contribute to research, documentation, stakeholder coordination, and communication efforts while working closely with the program team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the program team in drafting concept notes, briefs, presentations, and other documentation for ongoing initiatives.
  • Synthesize findings from secondary research into concise briefs, presentations, and background notes.
  • Develop visual and communication materials (e.g., Google Slides, Canva presentations, infographics, and outreach materials) for meetings and stakeholder engagement.
  • Help with data collation, formatting, and presentation of insights for program reviews and discussions.
  • Support coordination for meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements, including scheduling, preparation of materials, documentation of key discussions, and tracking action points.
  • Actively participate in meetings, take detailed notes, and collate next steps in coordination with Program Managers and Senior Program Associates.
  • Assist in maintaining program documentation, trackers, and knowledge repositories.
  • Provide operational and coordination support for ongoing program activities, as required.
  • While the role is primarily hybrid, the intern may occasionally support field visits, events, workshops, and partner engagements, if required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace (Google Slides, Sheets, and Docs) and Canva.
  • Strong secondary research and information synthesis abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create well-structured, visually appealing presentations and communication materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good organizational and coordination skills.
  • Interest in development programs, public policy, women's economic empowerment, or gender equality initiatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Eligibility

  1. Be in the final year of their academic program or be a recent graduate.
  2. Be available to start the internship from 1 July 2026 or earlier.
  3. Be available for a minimum duration of three months.
  4. Possess relevant skills and interests aligned with the role.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to contribute to programs advancing women's economic empowerment at scale.
  • Exposure to government partnerships and policy-oriented initiatives.
  • A collaborative and mission-driven work environment.
  • Mentorship from experienced program professionals.
  • Learning and networking opportunities across Udaiti's ecosystem of partners and stakeholders.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
