Financial Controller

Fulltime | 5 dagen per week

Voor ons Finance-team zoeken we een ervaren en zelfstandige Financial Controller. Iemand die niet alleen zorgt dat de cijfers kloppen, maar vooral begrijpt wat er achter die cijfers gebeurt. Je maakt analyses, signaleert verbeterkansen en helpt ons onze financiële processen en systemen verder te professionaliseren.

Je komt terecht in een compact Finance-team met verschillende verantwoordelijkheden binnen de financiële administratie, dagelijkse operatie, rapportages en jaarrekening. Met jouw komst voegen we extra financiële kennis, analytische slagkracht en capaciteit toe aan het team.

Wat ga je doen?

Als Financial Controller heb je een brede en zelfstandige functie. Je bent betrokken bij de financiële administratie, maar jouw toegevoegde waarde zit vooral in het analyseren, controleren en verbeteren.

Je houdt je onder andere bezig met:

  • Opstellen en analyseren van periodieke financiële rapportages;
  • Maken van financiële analyses en vertalen van cijfers naar concrete inzichten;
  • Ondersteunen bij maand-, kwartaal- en jaarafsluitingen;
  • Voorbereiden en ondersteunen van de jaarrekening;
  • Bewaken en verbeteren van financiële processen en interne controles;
  • Signaleren en verklaren van afwijkingen in resultaten, kosten en budgetten;
  • Meewerken aan budgetten, forecasts en managementinformatie;
  • Verder professionaliseren en automatiseren van de financiële administratie;
  • Een actieve rol spelen bij implementaties en optimalisaties van systemen, waaronder Exact Online, Mews en DISH;
  • Ondersteunen bij het terugbrengen en inrichten van de salarisadministratie binnen de organisatie;
  • Zelfstandig oppakken van financiële projecten en verbetertrajecten.

Wie zoeken wij?

We zoeken iemand die graag verantwoordelijkheid neemt en zelfstandig kan werken. Je vindt het leuk om zowel met de financiële basis als met analyses en verbeterprojecten bezig te zijn.

Je hebt:

  • Een afgeronde financiële opleiding op hbo-niveau, bijvoorbeeld Finance & Control, Bedrijfseconomie of Accountancy;
  • Meerdere jaren relevante werkervaring binnen Finance, bijvoorbeeld als Financial Controller, Assistant Controller of in een vergelijkbare functie;
  • Een stevige basis in financiële administratie en grootboekbeheer;
  • Ervaring met maand- en jaarafsluitingen;
  • Sterke analytische vaardigheden en het vermogen om cijfers begrijpelijk te maken;
  • Goede Excel-vaardigheden;
  • Ervaring met Mews is een sterke pré;
  • Ervaring met financiële systeemimplementaties of procesoptimalisaties is een pré;
  • Een zelfstandige, nauwkeurige en proactieve manier van werken.

Ervaring binnen hospitality is mooi meegenomen, maar belangrijker is dat je nieuwsgierig bent naar de operatie achter de cijfers en graag samenwerkt met verschillende afdelingen.

Wat maakt deze functie interessant?

Dit is geen rol waarin je alleen bestaande rapportages produceert. Er ligt juist ruimte om dingen beter neer te zetten. Van financiële analyses en rapportages tot systeemimplementaties, automatisering en het verder inrichten van onze financiële processen.

Je werkt in een klein team, waardoor je snel verantwoordelijkheid krijgt en direct invloed hebt op hoe Finance zich verder ontwikkelt.

Over Hotel Arena

Hotel Arena is veel meer dan een hotel. Gevestigd in een karakteristiek monumentaal pand aan het Oosterpark vormt het een bijzondere ontmoetingsplek waar hospitality, gastronomie, cultuur en evenementen samenkomen.
