The posting

The licensed recruitment agency the JOB HOUSE Ltd (License No. 577), on behalf of its client, is seeking to recruit an experienced Compliance & AML Officer.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the company's activities are conducted in accordance with applicable AML/CFT legislation, regulations and regulatory requirements.
  • Contributes to the effective implementation of the company's AML and compliance framework, policies and procedures.
  • Develop, review and update internal compliance procedures and controls in line with regulatory developments and business needs.
  • Monitor compliance processes, identify potential gaps or weaknesses and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Review KYC documentation and client information during the onboarding process and throughout the business relationship.
  • Assess the compliance and AML risk of clients and provide recommendations regarding their risk classification and acceptance.
  • Ensure that client files are periodically reviewed and that KYC information remains complete and up to date, according to the applicable risk level.
  • Evaluate information relating to potentially suspicious activities and prepare the necessary reports to MOKAS, ICPAC or other relevant authorities, where required.
  • Prepare monthly, annual and other compliance reports for Management and the Board of Directors.
  • Provide advice and support to different departments on AML, KYC and general compliance matters.
  • Maintain awareness of changes in AML/CFT legislation and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure continuous professional development and maintain the knowledge required to effectively identify and manage ML/TF risks.
  • Contribute to maintaining a strong culture of compliance, integrity and professional ethics across the organisation.
  • Liaise with regulatory and other relevant authorities when necessary.
  • Perform any other compliance-related duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree in Law, Business, Finance or another relevant field.
  • Recognised AML certification.
  • Relevant experience in Compliance, AML or a similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of AML legislation, KYC requirements and client/transaction review procedures.
  • Good knowledge of Company Law, GDPR and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent command of both Greek and English, written and spoken.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Proactive and resourceful approach to work.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High standards of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
