Salary Range: $126,000 - $176,000 depending on experience

We collaborate with companies in the Flint area seeking experienced Controllers.

This posting covers Controller opportunities with manufacturers based in and around Flint in Genesee County, within about 30 minutes of the city, including Corunna, Swartz Creek, Clio, and Flushing.

The Opportunity

We collaborate with multiple companies in the Flint area seeking experienced Controllers. These organizations value long-term fit and look for professionals who bring both skill and alignment. By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.

Usual Responsibilities

  • Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasts.
  • Coordinate external audits and tax filings.
  • Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll staff.
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital.
  • Maintain internal controls and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Report financial results to ownership or executive leadership.
  • Oversee the monthly close and prepare financial statements.
  • Manage cost accounting and inventory valuation.

Recommended Qualifications

  • CPA or CMA certification.
  • Strong cost accounting and standard costing knowledge.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software.
  • Proven record supervising an accounting team.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Seven or more years of accounting experience in manufacturing.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Public accounting experience.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.
  • Multi-site or multi-entity consolidation experience.
  • Familiarity with transfer pricing or intercompany accounting.
  • MBA or advanced finance degree.
