HR Manager | Gladwin, MI

Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

This posting covers HR Manager opportunities with manufacturers based in and around Gladwin in Gladwin County, within about 45 minutes of the city, including West Branch, Standish, Hamilton, and Pinconning.

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing firms in the Gladwin area that seek skilled HR Managers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and look for professionals who can contribute effectively. Usual Responsibilities

  • Support safety programs and track incident reporting.
  • Manage onboarding, training, and performance reviews.
  • Maintain personnel records and HR information systems.
  • Advise managers on policy and disciplinary matters.
  • Oversee recruiting and hiring for production and office roles.
  • Administer payroll, benefits, and leave programs.
  • Handle employee relations and resolve workplace concerns.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state labor laws.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field.
  • Five or more years of HR experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, and EEOC requirements.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with union environments and collective bargaining.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish.
  • Background in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.
  • Experience building training and apprenticeship programs.
  • Familiarity with multi-site HR operations.
