Salary Range: $54,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

This posting covers Industrial Electrician opportunities with manufacturers based in and around Shelby Township in Macomb County, within about 30 minutes of the city, including Auburn Hills, Troy, Rochester Hills, and Lake Orion.

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Shelby Township region seeking Industrial Electricians. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates - not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Usual Responsibilities

  • Follow lockout tagout and electrical safety procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems on production equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on motors, drives, and control panels.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Install and wire new equipment and electrical components.
  • Diagnose PLC and relay logic faults during downtime events.
  • Test circuits and equipment with multimeters and other instruments.
  • Document repairs and maintenance work in the maintenance system.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Familiarity with lockout tagout and NFPA 70E safety practices.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completed electrical apprenticeship or technical training program.
  • Experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of AC and DC motor controls and variable frequency drives.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with three-phase power distribution.
  • Associate degree in electrical technology or related field.
  • Familiarity with CMMS maintenance software.
  • Journeyman electrician license.
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
