Salary Range: $86,000 - $131,000 depending on experience

This posting covers Logistics Manager opportunities with manufacturers based in and around Bad Axe in Huron County, within about 45 minutes of the city, including Ubly, Pigeon, Harbor Beach, and Minden City.

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across the Bad Axe area seeking Logistics Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Usual Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and third party logistics providers.
  • Track inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies in warehouse records.
  • Manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs paperwork.
  • Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities to reduce freight spend.
  • Supervise warehouse and logistics staff and set daily work priorities.
  • Resolve delivery delays, damaged shipments, and supplier issues.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, import, and export regulations.
  • Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments to meet production and customer needs.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Five or more years of logistics or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of transportation management and warehouse management systems.
  • Experience negotiating freight rates and managing carrier relationships.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort with inventory and cost reporting.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a small team.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Background in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Bilingual communication skills for supplier and carrier contacts.
  • APICS or similar supply chain certification.
  • Experience with international shipping and customs compliance.
  • Familiarity with lean or continuous improvement methods.
