Salary Range: $87,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

This posting covers Maintenance Manager opportunities with manufacturers based in and around Mount Pleasant in Isabella County, within about 45 minutes of the city, including St. Louis, Clare, Alma, and Edmore.

The Opportunity

We partner with organizations in the Mount Pleasant area that seek Maintenance Managers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and look for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Usual Responsibilities

  • Coordinate outside contractors for specialized repairs and projects.
  • Train technicians and support continuous improvement on the plant floor.
  • Plan and schedule preventive maintenance for production equipment and facility systems.
  • Assign work orders to maintenance technicians and follow up on completion.
  • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs to limit downtime.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and order supplies within budget.
  • Enforce safety rules and lockout tagout procedures in the maintenance area.
  • Track maintenance metrics such as uptime, response time, and repair costs.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Five or more years in industrial maintenance, including supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS software.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards and safe work practices.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills under production pressure.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor degree in engineering or industrial technology.
  • Certification in maintenance and reliability such as CMRP.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or total productive maintenance.
  • PLC and controls troubleshooting experience.
  • Formal training in predictive maintenance methods such as vibration analysis.
