Salary Range: $79,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

This posting covers Project Manager opportunities with manufacturers based in and around Grayling in Crawford County, within about 45 minutes of the city, including Gaylord, Mancelona, Houghton Lake, and Roscommon.

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Grayling region seeking Project Managers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates - not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Usual Responsibilities

  • Support continuous improvement projects on the production floor.
  • Lead cross functional teams through project planning and execution.
  • Build and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Track milestones and report status to plant and operations leadership.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain on deliverables.
  • Identify project risks and drive corrective actions to keep timelines on track.
  • Manage scope changes and document decisions and approvals.
  • Run regular project reviews and update stakeholders on progress.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Ability to read production schedules, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Bachelor degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of project management experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with project scheduling and tracking tools.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and process improvement methods.
  • Strong communication and cross functional leadership skills.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with new product introduction or capital equipment projects.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Familiarity with ERP and manufacturing execution systems.
  • Experience leading projects across multiple plants or sites.
  • Project Management Professional or similar certification.
