Fire watcher (16–40 hours) - Safety supervision during high-risk work

Looking for a job with responsibility, a good salary and plenty of variety? Join TSA Safety Services as a Fire Watcher and help make sure everyone gets home safely.

As a Fire Watcher at TSA Safety Services, you play a key role in keeping people safely during high-risk work. You monitor activities, identify potential hazards and take action when something isn't safe.

You'll work across a wide range of industries, including (petro)chemical, industry, maritime, food, energy, infrastructure and water.

No experience? No problem!

Previous experience is a plus, but it's not essential. Even if you don't have the required certificates yet, you're welcome to apply.

Do you already have the right qualifications? Great, you can often start within just a few days.

Still need your certificates? We'll help you getting them. We start your training programme straight away. Most courses take only one to two weeks, so you can be ready to start work quickly. No long waiting periods of weeks or months.

And you won't be doing it alone.

From your first day, you'll have your own personal buddy: an experienced TSA colleague who will guide you, show you the ropes and answer your questions. You'll learn not only the theory, but also how to apply it in real-life situations from someone who does the job every day.

At TSA, we want you to start quickly — but always with the right training, support and knowledge to do your job safely and confidently.

At TSA Safety Services, a promise is a promise.

What will you do?

As a Fire Watcher, you're an important part of the safety team on site. You make sure high-risk work is carried out safely and according to the agreed procedures.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring high-risk during hot work activities;
  • Checking that work is being carried out safely;
  • Carrying out gas measurements;
  • Checking work permits;
  • Speaking up when you see unsafe behaviour or conditions;
  • Taking immediate action when a situation becomes unsafe.

You'll work at a variety of locations, such as factories, power plants, ports, shipyards and other industrial sites.

Every day is different!

What do we offer?

In addition to a salary that's always paid on the 24th of the month, you can expect:

  • €15,25–€16,16 per hour, depending on your experience;
  • Guaranteed working hours, we keep our promises;
  • Welcome bonus of Euro 500,00 gross! Have you successfully completed your probation period and do we offer you a new contract? Then you will receive a bonus of Euro 250,00 gross. If you also complete your follow-up contract and we offer you another contract, you will receive another bonus of Euro 250,00 gross!
  • A comprehensive onboarding programme with personal support from your buddy;
  • Additional allowances for evening, night, weekend and overtime work;
  • Performance and loyalty bonuses;
  • €0,23 per kilometre mileage allowance;
  • Compensation for travel time;
  • Allowances for phone expenses, meals and work clothing;
  • Hotel accommodation allowance when an overnight stay is required;
  • 25 days of annual leave;
  • 8% holiday allowance;
  • An additional bonus based on attendance;
  • High-quality workwear and safety footwear;
  • Flexible scheduling: 16 to 40 hours per week;
  • Fully paid training and certifications;
  • Opportunities to develop your career, including progression to roles such as Operational Safety Specialist (OVK).

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who takes responsibility and puts safety first.

You:

  • Are alert and able to stay calm under pressure;
  • Are confident enough to speak up when something isn't safe;
  • Are available to work between 16 and 40 hours per week;
  • Have a Category B driving licence and your own transport.

Why choosing TSA Safety Services?

TSA Safety Services specialises in safety supervision. Every day, our safety professionals help people work safely at client sites throughout the Netherlands.

You'll always have someone to ask questions, share experiences with and learn from.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
