Job Summary

The Head of Treasury leads the organization's treasury, liquidity, cash management, funding, banking relationships, and financial risk-management activities. In an insurance and investment environment, the role also focuses on liquidity planning, capital management, asset-liability management (ALM), foreign-exchange exposure, interest-rate risk, and investment liquidity.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the organization's treasury strategy and policies.

Lead cash and liquidity management across the organization or Group.

Prepare and oversee short-, medium-, and long-term cash-flow forecasts.

Optimize cash balances, liquidity buffers, and short-term investments.

Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, guarantees, and financing arrangements.

Lead funding, refinancing, and capital structure activities.

Monitor and manage FX, interest-rate, liquidity, credit, and counterparty risks.

Develop and implement appropriate hedging strategies.

Work closely with Investment and Finance teams on liquidity and asset allocation.

For insurance businesses, support ALM, solvency, capital adequacy, and regulatory liquidity requirements.

Oversee cash pooling, intercompany funding, and treasury transactions across subsidiaries.

Monitor investment liquidity and ensure sufficient funds for claims, operating expenses, and other obligations.

Develop treasury policies, controls, reporting frameworks, and governance.

Manage relationships with banks, investment managers, brokers, custodians, and financial institutions.

Provide treasury and liquidity reporting to the CFO, CEO, Treasury/Investment Committee, and Board.

Lead and develop the treasury team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

10–15+ years of treasury, corporate finance, banking, or financial-markets experience.

Strong experience leading Treasury / Group Treasury / Corporate Treasury.

Background in insurance, banking, asset management, investment management, or financial services.

Strong expertise in:

Cash & Liquidity Management

Treasury Management

Funding & Capital Structure

FX & Hedging

Interest-Rate Risk

Banking Relationships

ALM

Financial Risk Management

Experience managing multiple entities, currencies, and jurisdictions preferred.

Strong understanding of capital markets and financial instruments.

ACT, CFA, CA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MBA Finance, or equivalent preferred.
