Job Summary

The Treasurer / Group Treasurer leads the organization's treasury, liquidity, cash management, funding, banking relationships, and financial risk management activities. Within an insurance and investment group, the role also oversees investment liquidity, capital management, foreign-exchange exposure, interest-rate risk, funding strategy, and treasury governance across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Group treasury and cash management function.

Develop and execute the Group's treasury strategy and policies.

Manage liquidity, cash flow forecasting, working capital, and short-term investments.

Monitor and optimize cash positions across subsidiaries and jurisdictions.

Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, guarantees, and financing arrangements.

Lead funding and capital structure activities.

Manage foreign-exchange exposure and develop appropriate hedging strategies.

Monitor interest-rate, liquidity, credit, and counterparty risks.

Support investment teams with liquidity planning and asset-liability management.

Monitor insurance liquidity and capital requirements where applicable.

Develop treasury reporting, dashboards, forecasts, and risk metrics for senior management.

Oversee cash pooling, intercompany funding, and intercompany settlements.

Support M&A, strategic investments, refinancing, and other corporate finance transactions.

Establish treasury controls, policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.

Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and internal treasury requirements.

Present treasury, liquidity, funding, and financial-risk matters to the CFO, CEO, Treasury/Investment Committee, and Board.

Lead and develop treasury professionals across the Group.

Ideal Candidate Profile

12–15+ years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, banking, or financial markets.

Strong experience in Group Treasury / Corporate Treasury within a large or multinational organization.

Experience in insurance, banking, investment management, asset management, or financial services preferred.

Strong expertise in cash management, liquidity, funding, FX, interest rates, and financial risk management.

Experience managing multiple entities, currencies, and jurisdictions.

Knowledge of capital markets, debt financing, investment products, and banking relationships.

Strong understanding of ALM (Asset-Liability Management) is highly desirable for insurance/investment organizations.

Professional qualification such as ACT, CFA, ACCA, CA, CPA, CIMA, MBA Finance, or equivalent preferred.
